We live the fitness life, we breath the fitness world, find someone to share the same passion as yourself & create each other & support each other! I'm one happy human to have this man in my life 💕☺️💋🌹 He's my happiness ✨🌷
Everyone's on their own personal journey through life and there's no denying we all face challenges and speed bumps along the way. .
Personally, there's been some days where I've felt those speed bumps are waaaay too big to ever get over, but I've put my big girl panties on🙈 and don't let it stop me. .
It's taken a lot of years of working through self sabotaging battles, bullying, depression and criticism to get where I am today, don't get me wrong I'm not done yet, I'm still a 'work in progress' everyday to be a better me😉 .
My life journey thus far has been one hell of a ride, a ride that I wouldn't change for the world❤️
I've learnt a shit load along the way, made lots of mistakes, had days where I question why I bother, but I'm proud of what I've overcome and achieved so far and I'm not going to stop here👊🏼 And if I CAN do it, so can YOU!!
My mission is to inspire and help as many as I can to also achieve their health and wealth goals. But it all starts with YOU wanting to make the change.
Are you ready? .
The Deadlift (DL)
It's a compound movement that recruits a massive range of muscles (posterior chain mainly), including back (erector spinae and trapezius); legs (gluteals, hamstrings, quadriceps and adductor group), arms (triceps), forearms and ab muscles.
It can be executed using barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells or even on a DL machine.
The execution of the DL is often negleted. Firstly, it's important to play safe and get the technique right. The back position is crucial for a good DL move. Never lift with a rounded spine! You can risk serious spine injuries. Keeping your shoulder blades together at all times will help you not to round your back. I'd say to activate your core too, but it is just impossible not to when doing it right.
Another common mistake is keeping the torso too upright when the barbell is on the floor. You end up activating much more your leg muscles than your back if you do so. Make sure you start from the hips (hinging your hips back), bending your torso forwards to allow hamstrings and glute activation as well as your back. The best way to do it is to make sure the barbell doesn't touch your thighs, but it does touch (or get really close to) your lower legs. Your trunk should be parallel (or almost) to the floor. And always keep in mind you're deadlifting, not squatting!
Once you're up with the bar, do not move your hips forwards (lower back hyperextension). Stand straight upright!
Finally, keep a neutral cervical position. You want to look forwards once you're up, but down when the bar reaches the floor. No tension to your neck muscles 😉
Once you got your technique on point, you can play with reps, load, speed, DL variations, etc. I'm taking it easy lately, as I'm #21weeks pregnant 🤰🏻😊 Will keep myself moving, going lighter every time I feel I should, listening to my body and to my baby boy 😉
Now it's your turn 😄👊💪 go get it!

Happy Saturday😄 literally HAPPY Saturday lol. First day back to the gym in a week after a nasty cold & ear infection 🤒 my lungs are thrashed & my core feels super weak so I did some cardio & hit my go-to ab circuit tonight💪🏼
- I've been asked to show what my back looks like so here it is ‼️(photo was taken yesterday). My body loses fat very quickly in my back and shoulders. Unfortunately the abs are last to come in 😑 #idontspin
3rd in Novice. 4th overall. I did something tonight few people believed I could ever do. I want to thank everyone who pushed me and stood by me and encouraged me to keep going. It's amazing from where I started. Coming out with giant quads whenever in high school my coaches nicknamed me "skinny jeans." Now I can't find a single pair to fit me. Then going to cheer at the university working out twice a day no matter what to stay in shape. And now we are here. September 23rd the day of my first NPC show. Months and months of preparation went into this day. And I'm happy it's finally done. A lot of hard work and dedication. Now it's time for off-season. Plan is to compete next year at AState and bring something entirely different to the stage. Thank you @alexbush__ for being my coach at the last second and helping me get here. Thank you @tywoosley23 for helping me out with posing and final critiques. And also thank you @audreykayross for being there for me.
Its been so long since I've posted. I've still been here still killing it in my own ways. I finished 2.1 5 weeks ago and have continied doing #fbg in my own way till a new guide comes. Today though I felt the need to reach out to the wonderful girls who I don't personally know but are always there for me, fitness related or not! That's what this amazing community is about. I'm struggling with my head and heart and where I should be and even broke down crying 5 times while lifting today. These are the days I rely on my workouts so much. It keeps me sane and grounded even when its hard to go through because of the emotional drain. I'm so glad to have this community to lean on when I need to even when I'm not always around. You beauties are amazing and I am blessed to have become a part of something so wonderful. Hopefully I find out what to do but for now I will keep going. Thanks for letting me vent loves!#fbggirls#fbggirlsstrong#annavictoria#trialsmakeyoustronger#strongnotskinny#stronger#fbgcommunity#worldgym
- Who would have thought that going to the gym would result in so many new friendships ‼️🙏🏼 @ajonesfit @meganmcteer .
I definitely look up to Amanda and Megan as they both had the courage to step on stage and bring their absolute best as natural athletes 🔥
