2014 ➡️2017. Lately I've been pretty stressed and for the first time in a good while feeling depleted instead of positive and energetic. To handle stress in the left picture/2014 I would have turned to wine and junk food vs. now/2017 turning to my routine of home cooked healthy meals and my gym program. Because I know this will bring good vibes and positive energy. The biggest change for me over 3 years has been DECISION MAKING. I used to brush off poor decisions - "this glass of wine won't really matter," "skipping the gym today isn't a big deal" etc. I'm still a #workinprogress but I've learned just how capable I am of making awesome decisions. Will power, strength, and resilience - I have always had these qualities. I am getting better every day at applying them to living a fit and healthy life. This was not the plan.... in the past 2 weeks I have been saying over and over "I'm not stressed..." when people tell me how stressful moving is. It is a mindset.
However, I finally caved this morning and screamed "I'M FUCKING STRESSED". My mindset broke.
And you know what, I'm human.
1- I went from having help to fun my business, doing being ditched.
2- We bought a trailer to move (which was supposed to happen FRIDAY- like in 4 days), but the trailer needs a new axial.
3- So now, in effort to keep the trailer light, we have too much stuff for the move. And need to figure out another plan/get ride of more things.
4- I'm not even sure of the 4th, but I know it's there... So yea, I could really crawl up in a ball and cry right about now. BUT- stress is a choice. It sounds crazy, but it is. So instead, I'm sitting in my car taking 30 minutes to readjust my mindset. Things are happening and I can choose my reaction. None of it is happening to me, just around me. I'm truest BLESSED.
1- Our friend Ryan took 5 hours of his day off after working nearly 72hrs straight over the weekend to help pack up the kitchen yesterday. BLESSED.
2- I have parents on the back burner ready to help. BLESSED.
3- We stated packing a month ago, so there really isn't much left to actually get into boxes. BLESSED.
4- My work is flexible so I can spend time on the phone and be in different places working to get this trailer fixed. BLESSED.
5- We built next week in for flexible time so if we are still here IT IS OKAY. BLESSED.
6- I have a massage that I booked weeks ago within the hour to help me CHILL. BLESSED.
So it's time to go back to the "I'm not stressed" mindset. Because even though things aren't going according to plan- it's okay, maybe even better then if it was going according to plan- who am I to judge?
Looking through my photos and it dawned on me "wow I'm in shorts in a lot of these pictures" 🙈 Thinking back there was a time I wouldn't wear shorts without tights because I was so self conscious 😲 And now I don't even think twice about wearing them 🙊😊
One thing I will always admire in anybody is confidence 😊 And to be able to say I actually have some now is pretty cool 👌🙈 Health & Fitness has done so much more for me than just changing my appearance 😇👌 #beyourowninspiration
While mostly all women go to salon and try as hard as they can to beautify themselves, @meztdaengmalewa does the opposite. She chose to have dreadlocks 9 years ago and up until now, she never regrets her decision.
