Ok so holly pops prep isn't easy but it's doable...
I'm looking at the positives. 10 days to train, sleep, sun, eat, repeat. Yes I may look like a nutter with my scales in my beach bag and getting funny looks for weighing my food out in every restaurant but the repercussions for all my hard work certainly isn't worth the moment on my lips right now.
Holy pops = Definition gains that the name of this holiday game. Oh and not forgetting a certain besties special birthday to celebrate @kezdubs ☀️🎂💎🎊🎈🎀🌈

i love fall 🍁. fall means variety of squash, pumpkin basic things, stews, cozy sweaters and socks, knitted things, and baked goods. welcoming 🍂🌾🌾 first day of fall with this breakfast that i'll be eating every day until my show. why?
a) sweet 🍠🍠🍠 potatoes are amazing and cinnamon + pb + sweet potato combo is life. ive eaten this combination every single week for the last few months 😂😅. if you haven't tried this yet, do it. thank me after
b) simplicity. as i get closer and closer to show, i don't want to even think/worry about what i eat. the fancier meals can now wait until post show.

I still do fitness things I promise 😂!! I was without a gym for 5 full days during this move. Our first day back to a gym was yesterday and i was so happy about it. Now the hunt for a permanent gym begins. I am up about 3lbs from stage weight which could be good or bad Lol! I am glad I havent rebounded but I also feel like I lost a little muscle in this moving process. That's ok though, life happens and you just gotta go with it. There are things that take priority over the gym sometimes, ya know?!?!

I probably sounded like I feel guilty for eating treats... that's not the case!
I don't think anyone should stay on a contest prep diet when the prep is over and I don't think guilt should be associated with food. I do believe in being balanced and healthy though. What is NOT balanced for me is eating 2 weeks worth of chocolate 🍫🍫🍫 and candy and half a Costco family sized bag of chips in one sitting😂. While it's hilarious and we've all been in that situation where we can't stop eating, I simply feel so much better when I plan my refeed meals and can use them to the advantage of my goals (like booty gains, duh).
AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, I am actually SO happy not to be stage lean anymore!!! In the last 3 weeks of prep there were times when I felt uncomfortable in my own skin, and honestly? 😶 completely unsexy, especially because I do burlesque theatre.
I didn't really talk about it too much because I feel great about my body and don't want to promote one body type over another, but I hated losing my curvaceousness. In fact, I purposefully did my photoshoot at 2 weeks out instead of during peak week because I wanted to capture my body with a bit of it's remaining 🍑 bounce.
Sure enough (like I knew I would) I feel way better after a few days of healthy eating and I'm still looking forward to that pumpkin pie blizzard 🎃❄🌨 after my hike on Saturday.
Pancake prep for the week, during my fitness journey a lot of things had changed, macros, trainings, lunches, dinners, snacks but my pancakes have been pretty much my daily breakfast. The recipe changes depends my macros and trainings, however, basically I use the same: oats+eggs+any fruit (bananas, apples, pears, berries or sweet potato, pumpkin) sometimes I add coffee and that is a breakfast to go and eat in the car 😏 ... the most frequent question about my pancakes is: How many pancakes do I eat? ... answer: The whole mixture can be 1 huge! Or 10 mini 😏🎉 ... Happy Friday!!!

"Why don't you look like you did at your show?" I've already heard this several times. I'm not stage lean because I'm not supposed to be stage lean year round. This is time for growth. Has it been mentally hard for me to reverse out of this? Hell ya it has been. Have I wanted to eat all the food?! Uh yea I've had my moments. But, reversing out of the diet is important. Slowly adding more into my diet is key to not having a "post show blow up". Do I look stage ready right now? Nope. Off season is for growth. Staying within "striking distance" for next season. Sometimes.... One sleep is not enough. On days that I have low energy, I still show up at the gym and I do my best. Thats all that counts. Is you show up and do your best.
On another note, not getting enough rest is not the healthy thing to do. It is our job to take care of ourselves. No one else is going to do it for us. No one is accountable for your own needs but yourself. You come first.

Good morning guys! Today I wanted to talk about something most competitors fear.... the dreaded POST SHOW WEIGHT GAIN (dun dun dunnnnn👻) I know I've been talking about this a lot lately, but it's just because it's what I'm going through, and I know it is something lot of competitors struggle with. But why? Why is it considered "bad" to put on some HEALTHY weight? Why do competitors put themselves down when they go back to a normal healthy physique? Well, it has a lot to do with the mentality we developed towards our bodies during prep. Speaking as a competitor, we spend weeks upon weeks dieting with the goal of getting extremely lean. Not just any level of leanness, but an extreme lean- a level of leanness that isn't practical or healthy to maintain. But that's the thing with bodybuilding, there is always room for improvements. So when we're dieting, we are always pushing for more and constantly critiquing ourselves. We start to associate a new low weigh in with "good" and even the slightest weight gain as "bad". I'm guilty of it, as I'm sure many of other competitors are too! Post show is hard because we start to see our bodies change in the opposite direction. Instead of stronger ab definition, our abs get softer. In stead of new veins / striations popping, they start to fade away. Im not going to lie, post show weight gain is hard even for me. But, one thing we competitors have to remember is that IT IS SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN. Think about it this way, would you rather diet year round having to miss out on tons of memories because it doesn't fit your macros, you have to hit the gym, or can't miss cardio to maintain that shredded six pack, or would you rather have those few extra lbs and ENJOY your life? Yeah, I'm up ~8lbs from my stage weight. Yeah I struggled with body image at first, but I'm loving how I look and how I feel more and more each day. I'm loving healing my metabolism. I'm loving enjoying my life. I'm loving making memories with my friends, my family, and my boyfriend. Most importantly, I'm loving myself year round, regardless if I am shredded or not and you should too❤️ #SelfLove#UnguardedandUnBothered
I choose to rise up and face it 👊🏻...what is your choice?! Social media can be a little misleading sometimes (esp in the fitness industry) and lead you to believe that life is perfect. You train & eat and everything in life is 👌🏻. Well I am here to tell you that you never know what is going on behind the scenes and not everyone is as open with the struggles they go through as they are about the wins. I have to constantly remind myself of that when I find myself asking myself "why me?", with all the struggles I have been hit with 🤷🏼♀️. Yes I have been having some hard times and have always struggled with gut issues but everyone (as I have mentioned) has their own hard times, struggles and negative times 🚫. But we will never get past them if we don't face them! I have been attempting to be more open about what I am going through in hopes it will help a few of you and show you that what you see on here is not always the complete truth. Pictures may say 1,000 words but they don't tell it all 📷. Every situation we have a choice of how we handle it, do nothing and let it beat us down or #RiseUP , face it head on, and not let it win❗️. Reflecting on how I've been feeling lately which has been OVERWHELMED. When you find yourself extremely anxious, take time to figure out the WHY. I'm the QUEEN Of worrying and lemme tell ya, worrying doesn't fix shit or help anything. It's wasted energy! I've been taking time in the morning to meditate, read and just chillllll before I get going and it's really helped me calm my tiddddies 😂 (also been ODing on @slapnutrition Relax, Bro magnesium 😅😅)
If you can find what's bothering you, eliminate it if you can or realize that you just have to push through. 😌 you're strong and you got this!
