I was actually really hungry after my run this morning and we are going out to eat with my parents for lunch so I didn't want to just have coffee. So I had some eggs and turkey with a little mozzarella. Have a kids bday party today and the fair again so I'm hoping to have all the willpower. Almost done with my 45 days and gotta stay strong. .

OFJ Adventure Time!!! Checked out this place in the desert named Big Red Dune (very self explanatory). A few things i'd recommend if you ever wanna go.
1) bring a buddy (@frenchfinck brought me along). 2) wear trainers AND high socks, the sand is scortching hot and I didnt bring socks ☹️. The sand would go into my shoes and it was a similar feeling to having boiling water poured over your hands 😬.
3) Sand gets everywhere, wear tight underpants (that's all i will say on this topic☺️).
The UAE is a pretty cool place. It's one thing to get drunk and hungover every weekend, but i feel you end up missing places like this. Not to mention stopping on the way back and buying loads of discount exercise clothing is THE BEST (Singapore life, auntie got discount?!) Trying to decide on what i'll be cooking up next. I will never get tired of talking about glutes and deep core muscles. These muscles are your absolute base. I also love hamstrings and adductors, but I will talk about them another time 😜
Firing up the glutes is essential as the primary movers of your legs are the muscles of your hips and thighs, so if muscles of the hips aren't working as they should, your quads have to pick up the slack (hello quad dominant generation πŸ˜‚).
Core is a local muscular system that stabilise the pelvis in any movement, weather you are running or squatting. By understanding and practicing the patterning for complete core and glute activation to work in sync, each and every exercise will benefit as a result of these principles.

Today I felt strong so it ended up being a heavy lift day. And I managed 3 sets of 1 for my 215lbs πŸ’€lifts. Haven't been lifting heavy as much, but the workouts I have been doing are improving my fundamentals and the ground work for lifting heavy. My hands get really sweating from working out so I always have to wipe them so I can have a good grip...probably should invest in some chalk. So today was a good day after a weekend in Boston with lots of walking and yesterday being a catch-up day on my sleep 😴

Working 11-8 today so I'm all thrown off. Day 2 of the collagen and I like it better in hot drinks. Didn't fully dissolve right away and I got a big gel chunk. Gross. But it did eventually blend all the way in. Also had some eggs and a tortilla with PB&J. Not sure if I'll have lunch and dinner at work or just one meal. We'll see how the day goes I guess .

So, a couple weeks ago the picture on the left popped up on my memories and I remember it so well. In 2014, I was running every day. It was my release! I was running anywhere from 1 to 4 miles a day and not really watching what I ate. Not long after I got comfortable and stopped running; eventually gaining all the weight back, plus more. 
Fast-forward three years to the picture on the right I took this past Saturday morning. Don't get me wrong, I was proud of what I'd done in 2014, but I'm even more proud now. The progress and results are awesome!! I probably never would have noticed or compared the photos had the memory not come up. Now, I'm no fitness guru, I sometimes skip for days or weeks at a time, and I still don't really watch what I eat, but I have to say that lifting weights again has done my body some good! I had such an amazing day today!
I truly believe it's because I started my day in the most perfect way. 😍
Let me tell y'all about my new morning routine:
- woke up at 5:30 and let the pups out while enjoying the smell of coffee which I programmed to brew at 5:15 πŸ’πŸ½
- did 15 minutes of beginner yoga flexibility (Yoga Studio app)
- spent an hour reading my devotional, studying the Bible, and journaling/setting my intentions for the day
- and STILL had half an hour to get ready for work!
It. Was. Life. Changing.

I felt so focused today: on my purpose, on my goals, on being the best person I could be.
I listened to Elevation Church podcast on my 30 minute drive to school.
We had such a great day in pre-k playing and signing and laughing and talking about our families. πŸ€—
I had several quiet, undistracted hours of work/study time at home in the afternoon.
I had a killer leg day *which wasn't rushed like it normally is in the morning* - I could take my time, focus on each movement and reallyyy feeling the muscles working. Plus I fit in a sweaty cardio session without worrying about having to rush home to shower and get out the door for work!
Now it's time to eat a yummy dinner & cuddle my pups & relax for the rest of the night. πŸ’•

I am so grateful to have the opportunity *I'm only working part-time* to create such an awesome schedule. πŸ™πŸΌ
I am fully embracing the ability to put so much time toward my own goals and priorities, while keeping the Lord and His purpose for me at the forefront of my mind. ✨

This morning, I caught myself scrolling images of STRONG AF women. πŸ’ͺ🏼 Women who had musclar thighs (#nothighgap). Who had a strong core but not a 6 pack. Who prioritized LOVING THEMSELVES more than the # on the scale.
