I finished the first season of True Detective. It's a great show that explores the evil in this world and how evil can systematically control everything in our lives subconsciously. The chemistry between Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson is phenomenal! -Angel😇 @goatmoviepodcast

I really love this movie though. It's a lot deeper than it appears at first glance. I honestly think this is one of Jim Carreys best movies. Agree or disagree!?!
The second part of the Nicolas Winding Refn's "PUSHER" trilogy is a powerful film that I enjoyed more than the first one.
Pusher II is a very accurate portrait of life, life when it looks ruined, when everything is fucked up.
The powerful acting from Mikkelsen and the rest of the cast is marvelous. Even in his start Refn shows this beautiful and outstanding cinematography.
I feel necessary to mention that most of the cast are people from the streets and not professional actors, and it makes this film look more real, cruel, pure.
This is the bottom of society in 1 hour and 40 minutes.
Sex, drugs and violence.
It is like seeing society through a mirror. These kinds of movies are more important than we often realize especially in a time with too many political correct Hollywood productions and too many meaningless comedies.
Loved it, and it's highly recommended.
Dick Tracy is a film that's so close to being great, but never quite gets there. There is so much that I love about the film on a technical level. I love the strict 7 color palate Beatty used. I love that the camera never moves. I love the plethora of matte paintings, the practical effects and the makeup taken right out of the comics. Danny Elfman's score is fantastic, if a bit too similar to Batman's. I love the action, when there is some, and I love the incredible cast. But for all it's technical accomplishments, it's so uneven and oftentimes dull. There's too much going on, what with the inclusion of "the kid", Tracy's love triangle between Tess and Breathless Mahoney, and his never ending battle to bring Big Boy Caprice down, it gets overly complicated and loses focus. I wish there was no kid, and that it was a more action oriented and less love triangle, because the action, when it is there, is spectacularly done by Warren Beatty. I revisit this once a year and am always amazed by how incredible it looks. For that, it earns high rewatchability for me.
