This exercise serves the purpose of opening the joints and stretching the anterior part of the shin, ankle and foot. 
Remember to keep the heels together before you sit. Do not under any circumstances let the heels fall out to the side as we have to hit the target joint with great precision if this means you have to sit with less weight on your feet so be it. Use your hands to help squeeze the heels together if necessary.
Add a block for more leverage when advancing. This exercise among others would suit a proper warm-up before a lower body workout.

The main reason I refer to this as a 'Double-L position’ is because as illustrated with the red lines, there are two (2) capital letter Ls formed, that mirror each other. ‘Supine’ denotes the position of lying down facing upward.

How to: 
From Uttanasana (Standing Forward Bend), bend your knees and, with an inhale, step your left foot back toward the back edge of your mat, with the ball of the foot on the floor. Step back far enough so that your right knee can form a right angle.
- Lay your torso on your front thigh and lengthen it forward. To soften your right groin, imagine that the thigh is sinking toward the floor under your torso's weight. Look forward. Simultaneously, firm the left thigh and push it up toward the ceiling, holding the left knee straight. Stretch your left heel toward the floor.

To hold this pose longer, wedge a block between the floor and the back leg.

I've been posting a lot of Body Tempering and mobilization stuff I like to do pre workout. But here is a video I did a few weeks ago on the one drill I do if I am short on time to relate for squats and deadlifts. I use the @kabukistrengthlab shoulderok held out in front like this. It forces us to use good intra abdominal pressure. When you combine it with the @mbslingshot hip circle to activate your hips and glutes this is a fantastic all in own warm up or active recovery drill. 🔹🔹🔹Use code "brooks10" for 10% off at @kabukistrengthlab.

Since July when I got my tattoo... i started to take it light at the gym. I started listening to my body and realized it needed a break. I've been dieting and going hard at the gym for 5 months that my body was begging. "Please take a break and enjoy summer. You got your goal". Well 1 month and 13 pounds later my body is now begging for me to get back in to it.

Funny thing is.. I'm not mad or upset that I have taken "steps back" or have to "start all over"

I'm ready and motivated to push myself to new limits. It's been 2 days in the gym and I'm already feeling great!

Hamilelik sürecinde karnın büyümesi ile Omurga öne doğru eğilir. Dolayısıyla doğal duruş bozulur ve bel, sırt ve boyun ağrıları başlar. Hamilelikte yapılan pilates sırt kaslarını geliştirerek duruşunuzun bozulması engeller. İskelet sistemi ve kaslarını güçlendirir.

Normal doğum planlanıyor ise perine kaslarını güçlendirerek doğum sürecinin daha rahat geçmesini ( rahat ıkınmayı) sağlar.

Gebelik ve sonrasında oluşan idrar kaçırma problemleri ortadan kalkar.

Pilates, gebelikte görülen, hazımsızlık ve ödem gibi sorunların azalmasına yardımcı olur.

Lohusalık döneminde bebeğin emzirilmesi ve kucakta taşınması gerektiğinden, sırt ve kol kaslarını güçlendirmeye yardım eder.
