Some first frames from @streetdriventour on the Scarlet-W shot in 4K 150fps. This was a test to see what it was like to actually shoot some fast movements with this camera and without using the @smallhd 702 monitor. Will post some actual footage in the next couple days or so 🙌🏼🎥 #redscarletw
I realise I've put too many photos of sunsets and shit up recently so here is a solidly flat boring kit pic of Witless 3's "Atreyu" (current name). Not only is there the beating heart of an @arri Amira under all that cable, but also @dancevillallama 's UDM distance measure and @sando_media 's WCU4. One of my fit little (okay not little) @cookeoptics S5's at the front and a @Teradek Pro 300 Tx (Pro means Professional). At the back can be seen a general affirmative thumbs up from director @andrew_chaplin. Which is alright for him as he doesn't have to pick up the bastard all the time and chuck it around. Not pictured is a @lutify.me LUT but that's because you can't really see digital information kinda sorta.

Each job is different and requires different cameras, gear, etc. Serve the story and add your own flavor. No gig is small enough no gig is big enough. I'm just blessed to be doing what I love and with the friends who help push me to grow as a person and in my craft. A year ago I'm not the same person I was and for the upcoming years the journey will be that much better.
We often used a really sidey key light to let our lead character fall off into steep contrast for this film. Generally we were using kinos through heavy diffusion and pushing bigger tungsten units through the windows. I intentionally wanted a more muted look for the whole film to keep the audience grounded in the moment. To that end we stayed with muted earth tones, never used haze, never featured any highly stylized compositions or camerawork, and we tried to restrict all lighting to very clear motivation (i.e. no backlights or unmotivated color). For the exteriors we often accepted the unfiltered hardlight of the sun to play with these ideas of brutality throughout the film.
