I'm tired of hearing how weights will make them big, manly. Or how weights won't burn fat. So they think they should only do cardio!⠀
I'm here to tell you that's SOOOO wrong. The truth is lifting heavy is one of the best methods for burning fat! It's shown to spike natural human growth hormone levels. Also known as HGH for short. HGH is a powerful fat burning hormone. ⠀
Lifting will burn fat and build muscle, resulting in a toned athletic looking body. And don't act like you don't want a body like that ladies! ⠀
A women will also experience less sagging and cellulite. Now do I have your attention? As I was saying ladies don't be afraid of lifting weights! I lift and I'm not manly nor big! ⠀
It takes someone with crazy genetics to put on extreme muscle (without steroids). Or years and years of bulking to put on size! ⠀

So, most of the time, back bend walk overs absolutely TERRIFY me, and I end up twisting out! And the pausing in handstand at the top! This has only happened for me a handful of times ever! (I might have messed with the speed in other parts of this video, but that part I swear is real time!!!) Despite all the other big handstand stuff that I do, this move is actually one of the most challenging and uncomfortable ones out there for me, and has been my nemesis for a long time! Although, I must admit... I don't work on it or train it ever, so I have no right to complain about it haha 😅 You get good at what you practice, and not good at what you don't practice... Over halfway to my weight goal! Woohoo! Even with traveling two weekends in a row and with a hurricane thrown into the mix, following a #ketolifestyle has helped me shed pounds even on vacation. My first pregnancy took me almost 3 years to get back to my pre baby weight. It was a struggle. Workout videos from home, running with my dog and dieting...ALWAYS dieting 😩
When I became pregnant in my late 30's I knew I would have to work harder. Our bodies change and losing weight becomes more difficult. 🙇♀️

I didn't want to work harder. Hard was hard enough. Especially when there were little lives depending on me, bills to pay, work to be done, food to prepare, dishes to do, laundry to fold...you get it! 🏡
There had to be another way!! A smarter not harder way.

I was trying to find a proper transformation Tuesday photo & then I realized that I’m currently undergoing one of the most significant transformations of my life. I use this instagram as a fitness outlet but my love of fitness is only one thing that defines me. And I think that for most people fitness is an add on as opposed to a ‘life style’ or job. I always find myself gravitating towards those fitstagrammers who seem to do it all because they’re the ones I relate to most. They eat pizza, they get lazy & don’t go to the gym 5-7 days a week, they have families & friends & jobs who take priority. This phase of life I’m in has forced me to choose tedious work over pleasurable gym going & while it makes me sad, it also motivates me. At some point I will be able to juggle it all. In the meanwhile, this is my transformation. I am a permanently exhausted pigeon as of late & I’m proud to say that because it means I’m working my ass off to achieve my goals. I am completely and consistently filled with joy, passion, and excitement this prep. This is the first competition season that I've felt this healthy, happy, and confident in my potential and capabilities.
Timing MATTERS. Healing MATTERS. Taking the time to build positive habits MATTERS. Building a supportive and empowering network MATTERS.
These are all things I prioritized during my off season of Spring 2017 through now and I am so glad that I did. My energy and vibration are high and I'm creating the habits that help me shine in the long term. Isn't it amazing that at any time you can literally DECIDE to change your life?

#Transformation So thru the ups and downs of dealing with #Crohnsdisease I got to the point I was the HEAVIEST I had ever been. I hated the way I looked, the way I felt, I needed a change. I wanted to feel the way I did before my diagnosis. So I made a change, focused my energy not on the number on the scale - but my health. For the FIRST time in 2 years I am at a place where 1. My health is under control 2. I'm feeling confident with where I am emotionally and physically 3. I am enjoying not only my workouts but the people in my life. Change comes when you make the steps to move forward ❤️

It's hard to believe that a year and a half ago, I decided to embark on a health journey. Most of success has been from following @kayla_itsines & @tobi_pearce #BBG workout routine while maintaining a healthy balanced diet.
Even though I'm not as strict about my eating or workout schedule, and never weigh myself. I do not gain weight because overall the healthy choices outweigh the unhealthy choices I make everyday. It truly is a lifestyle change🏃🏻♀️
