My portable sauna arrived! 1. Saunas relieve stress.
Not surprisingly, sauna bathers most frequently cite stress reduction as the number one benefit of sauna use. Medical studies often determine that stress in our daily lives can negatively affect our health. In fact, the vast majority of disease (i.e. heart disease) is at least partially stress-related. Heat bathing in a sauna provides stress relief in a number of ways. It’s a warm, quiet space without any distractions coming from the outside. The heat from the sauna relaxes the body's muscles, improves circulation and stimulates the release of endorphins. Endorphins are the body’s all-natural "feel good" chemical, and their release provides a truly wonderful "after sauna glow.”
2. Saunas relax muscles and soothe aches/pains in both muscles and joints.
3. Saunas flush toxins.
4. Sauna cleanses the skin.
5. Saunas can induce a deeper sleep.
6. Saunas bring about recreational and social benefits.
While the social benefit is rarely talked about, it's really actually quite important. The sauna can be a private, personal area of relaxation and solitude. However, it can just as easily be a relaxing environment for socializing with family, friends and soon-to-be friends. The sauna room environment is conducive to open, intimate and quiet conversation.
7. Saunas improve cardiovascular performance.
8. Saunas burn calories.
9. Saunas can help fight illness.
Don't forget to refuel after a workout!
Fluids. Drink water, of course.
Carbohydrates. You burn a lot of carbohydrates — the main fuel for your muscles — when you exercise. In the 20-60 minutes after your workout, your muscles can store carbohydrates and protein as energy and help in recovery.
Protein. Eat things with protein to help repair and grow your muscles. It’s important to realize that these are general guidelines.
So do what works best for you. Know that what you put in your body (nutrition) is as important as you what you do with your body (exercise). Both are crucial to keeping your engine performing at its best.
I am asked often:
1. How many hours a day do you workout?
2. Do you ever take a rest day?
3. What's the most important thing to focus on?
1. 1 hour or less
2. 2 or 3 rest day per week - depends on how my BODY feels
3. Good nutrition and sleep
Physical appearance is simply a bi-product of inner health. I focus on how I FEEL not how I LOOK and everything else falls into place. Don't worry so much about how you look on the outside. Your number one job is to be as healthy and happy on the inside and let it shine on through.
So what do you say, girls with muscle, yay or nay?
Keep in mind, girls who have strong definition do not look like this normally, it is only when flexed! When your muscles are relaxed your arms, legs, etc feel firm, but look "normal". Muscles that you are seeing keep my spine and core strong. I haven't had shoulder pain in 9 month's thanks to those muscles.
I'm here to live my life to it's fullest and without strength it's a tough life to live!! So please don't give me "I don't want to lift weights, they will make me bulky" because I don't want to hear it! It is just not true. In fact I just simply think it is an excuse to not do the work your body loves and needs! Instead, do RESEARCH or just ask! <3 <3
Got my workout in before work! I'm on a roll this week! Still working on a better schedule for myself with earlier morning workouts and meal preps, but it's not a race 🏁 it's a lifestyle and I WILL get there!
Glutes and shoulders today (but mostly glutes Bc I got carried away lol)
Haven't been able to do cardio since my run Saturday Bc I did something to my damn foot and it hurts to put a lot of pressure on it for long periods. So LOTS of super setting going on here.
Glute transformation since July! I've gained an inch according to the measurements. Also lost an inch in my waist while losing no "weight" but lowered my bf% by 2%. So when I say f**k the scale I'm telling u just throw it away. Lol.
Something to seriously think about..... on a daily basis are you living your best life, with the people that you love, doing what you love??? I would sincerely LOVE to hear your response, as I'm intrigued to where I can help you.
Six years ago I realized that I couldn't say yes to those questions. I wasn't living up to my fullest potential, or truly chasing my passions. But I'm forever grateful that I was courageous enough to make a change, get out of my comfort zone, and manually CREATE the life of my dreams.
Life is quick, and in my mind there's no time to waste living a life that you aren't completely in love with.
Take a chance. Book that trip. Chase your crazy dreams. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF. Get off your ass and do something about your situation if you aren't happy with it!
Only you hold the key to change in your life, and it's up to YOU to find and create your best happy.
🍑🍑REALLY IMPORTANT 🍑🍑 . . . Today my client asked me about metabolism and that her friends swim and do lots of cardio and eat healthy but never seem to lose the weight. She said that she told them they needed to start lifting weights and asked me if that was correct ... YES ❗️❗️❗️💯 . . . .
➡️➡️➡️ So many women have this misconception that if they lift weights they're going to BULK up . . . Ladies we do NOT have enough testosterone to bulk up like guys especially not that quick!! It took me so long just to see changes in muscle growth. You have to put a lot of time and effort into trying to gain muscle. ➡️➡️➡️ That being said lifting weights is SO important and beneficial especially for women!! Cardio isn't going to help boost metabolism, unless you integrate HIIT training into it. Ladies you need to do a combination of cardio, I always vote HIIT training is the best, along with strength training. WHY❓❓ . .
Strength training is going to help increase your resting metabolism (so that you burn more calories after your workout is over), helps you reduce body fat and burn more calories, enhances your muscle mass and bone mass, reduces risk of osteoporosis, and so much more!! 💯💯💯 PLEASE if you're a girl or you know someone who is afraid of touching some weights because they don't want to get huge, please explain to them the benefits of weight lifting for women. .
I lift weights everyday, I do cardio HIIT training about 3 times a week ... do I look bulky? No, but you can definitely tell I've got muscle, and ladies the booty doesn't grow doing cardio!!! 🍑🍑🍑

Don't feel like working out? Take it outside! Seriously, it works every time. There's something about being outdoors that immediately improves your mood and helps you push past those negative voices inside your head. Your backyard, the park, the beach...the entire planet is your gym!

Maxing out, fatiguing that muscle is the only way your muscles will grow and get stronger.
You also have to make sure they get the correct amount of nutrients for regeneration.
Soreness is normal. That is why the warm-up and cool down phases of a workout are so important.
Pain is temporary, but the results will last forever!
