So I've just completed my first ever week at slimming world. People say to me 'there's nothing on you' but next Tuesday marks a year since I had my mini stroke, and haven't been able to really do much since. This time last year I was nearly 2 1/2 stone lighter!! This has been such a struggle as last year I was on a strict clean eating macros diet with 5 gym sessions a week religiously. So I've gave this SW a whirl, haven't given it 100% until Sunday last week, so for only 3 days of sticking to it I was so happy to learn last night that I had lost 3 1/2 pounds 👏🏼 I've also made sure I've kept my walking up everyday. Dieting without exercise is pointless. So jealous of you guys that can work out properly 😔

So far I've made the SW pizza chickens, SW pulled pork with BBQ sauce, and an all day breakfast omelette. Baked beans in an omelette really works👌🏼
One thing that bothers me though, is that homemade smoothies ( which I love ) have to be counted as syns.. it makes no sense to me, so I'll be continuing as normal - with no syn count apart from the coconut water or almond milk I need to add.

Anterior pelvic tilt (APT) can increase the tension and load on your hamstrings. You need to attack the source and reset the pelvis into a neutral position. The steps are to strengthen the glutes and improve the coordination of the core as the hips move back and forth. The dead bug and glute bridge exercises are good for this and you'll see big changes in your pelvic tilt!

I was really embarrassed to post this, but what better way to be accountable to myself than tell everyone about it. 😳 just over a year ago, my doctor politely in a few words said I was overweight. I did know it but hadn't come to terms with it and so a year on and 8.2kgs down with still a long way to go, I'm starting to see my health change. I had been counting calories, slipping up a tonne along the way with my chocolate addiction, pissing up and takeaways. I've decided to make a lifestyle change, no more counting and much more nourishing and hopefully I'll reach my goals much faster. @drlibby latest book has given me so much knowledge and motivation to make change. Needless to say, my glutes know what's up 😉😖

I had planned to just have a nice gentle run today but I was feeling good and everything was in-sync so it actually turned out to be a new PB 🏅which I'm so happy with 😀

It's taken me a while to get my running times back up to where they were a few months ago but I'm there now and going to keep on pushing myself. I love days like today when everything just falls into place and your body does what you want it to! 🙌🏻

On its own it does nothing and in fact makes every movement too easy. However, apply principles of progressions and improvements and it will generate results.

Last night I tried 10 min emom of 3 reps with the 'green' band. Failed a few times. Will keep doing this until I get all 30 reps good then move to a thinner band then to the thinnest band... then on my own...
