It's awesome that you have a goal in place and you've set your mind to get it done BUT do you have the Long Term Vision to keep you on track?
Chances are that somewhere along the line, you haven't quite reached your Short Term Goal and ended up throwing in the towel 😤
I can almost guarantee that you've only ended up quitting because you didn't have the Long Term Vision in place with the Short Term Goals to guide you along the way.
I will recommend to all you guys that you find out deep down what you want to achieve with your fitness goals and look at the bigger picture. For some of you, this may be 12 Months + in the future, it may be slightly shorter. This be something along the lines of:
- I want to fit into a size 10 dress before the xmas party 💃
- I want to see my 6 pack before i'm 40
When you have this Long Term Vision you have an anchor that keeps your mindset fixed. From here you can start to break it down into smaller, more manageable chunks that guide you along the way, such as:
- Start tracking food intake
- Exercise at least 3x per week
- Lose 2lbs in 4 weeks
- Lose 1 Inch off waist
Etc Etc Etc
Put aside all short term goals. Find what you want to achieve Long Term and break this down into smaller goals that you can measure and track to guide you along the way!

Hey Monday 🙋🏽 session done arms deaded and rehab donneee ✔️ so today I err may or may not have signed up to @manchestermarathon hahaha!
I needed a new goal to help focus my mind....Now I know it's a long shot, I'm prepared to have to defer and accept it was a silly goal to have 🙈 and I still have a whole load of rehab to do and I'm not even allowed to run yet. Butttt with my positivity pants well and truly on today, we can live in hope, we can hope surgery won't be necessary and that come the 8th April I'll be doing my 4th (lucky number!) marathon 😁 who's running friends?
