It's been so long about ten weeks since I've been able to lift. Due to a bad knee injury. Than getting West Nile virus. Which just about killed me. 🤕😷🤒. I'm excited to get back to it when I get back from my lovely vacation with my wife. In a week. Here's is me about a weeks ago seeing if I could still deadlift something. Managed to get 585, 635, and 675. Lost a lot of strength but I guess what doesn't kill us is going to make us stronger right.? Ahhhh. Training has definitely felt tougher the past 3-4 workouts... I wouldn't say the calorie deficit has me feeling weaker exactly, but I do have less 'oomph' than usual. Now Days, so many people are waiting for the 'perfect time'. Which, in my opinion is the wrong way to think.
I've heard so many people tell me that they are going to start working out in the gym... "But I'm not starting, until I lose 2 stone" or "I'm too skinny, il maybe start next year".
These are just bullshit excuses you're feeding yourself and they're holding you back from being the person you want to be!
The truth is, if you're waiting for the 'Perfect time' to come around... there isn't gonna be one. Just grab life by the balls and go do it or it'll never happen!

It's been a month since I stepped foot in the gym - and a painful summer of injuries.... this is a throw back to the start of the summer when I got back on it with a "first session" after my last episode with my back. These cycles more than anything have taught me that in life you don't get one fresh start, you fall and get back up so many times and you might fall again at any given time- don't give up!.... I consider myself a warrior, a fighter and a survivor - nothing holds me down, and especially not myself!! Anyone who exercises regularly knows that if you take a break you lose endorphins and in response to that your body makes you believe you are depressed or low and weak, and in return you lose motivation - PLEASE don't believe it!
People keep telling me to lift heavy or go crazy because they've seen me do it before, but when my body needs rest I give it that, I respect what my body asks for and I take it at my own pace.... it's annoying when you can't do what you were able to do before, and I'm not telling anyone not to push their limits a little bit, but always make sure you respect the signals your body is giving you, don't listen to anyone else.
Today - I had the all clear by my specialist to get back on it 😈 I'm still in pain but I will start where I need to even if that's starting at 0 and I'm so fucking excited to go!!!!! Gym buddies - watch out. Fatty is back in town xx 🐢 💪🏽
