I cannot believe this is finally a reality. Today marks the beginning of my life on the road, making the landscapes my playground and my car my bedroom. Everything I own is contained right here in this picture and I couldn't be filled with more happiness.
If you're into genuine, awesome Podcasts, and find yourself scrolling through epic photo after epic photo wondering if your photos are "worthy" enough, check out the latest episode of the @hikelikeawoman podcast. Rebecca always keeps it real and this episode is no exception. I love Instagram for the art of sharing visually cool things, but even I get caught up in feeling like everything needs to be "EPIC." It's a cycle we need to break, that's for sure. So I share this - a beautiful place that absolutely kicked my butt to get to and that I questioned turning back half way through multiple times. That experience is as real as it gets to me. ✌️
Home 🙌 I have tickets to the Fleet Foxes in Monterey tomorrow and I can't contain my excitement. Live music is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself & I'm of the mindset that you should always buy the tickets 🤘

"Truly, we live with mysteries too marvelous to be understood.
How grass can be nourishing in the mouths of the lambs.
How rivers and stones are forever in allegiance with gravity while we ourselves dream of rising.
How two hands touch and the bonds will never be broken.
How people come, from delight or the scars of damage, to the comfort of a poem.
Let me keep my distance, always, from those who think they have the answers.
Let me keep company always with this who say "Look!" and laugh in astonishment, and bow their heads. - Mary Oliver, "Mysteries, Yes"
We embarked on a sunrise mission to capture Utah's first snow on Saturday morning. It was epic, beautiful and quite cold. I shot this drone video, and edited it in collaboration with @jpfleege . ------------------------------

Spent Sunday morning in the Tillamook State Forest running Wilson River Trail end-to-end. Fun times with an amazing crew (@earth_crosser, @xjailbreakx, and @mackrobertson), and Cassie completed her second longest run ever! Can't wait to run this one again 💕 📷: @earth_crosser
On my roadtrip to Utah I'm stopped in Lander, Wyoming for the day - the NOLS (National Outdoor Leadership School) headquarters and where it all began for me. The feeling of being back here is so surreal and leaves me in tears missing everyone that was here with me 5 months ago, but that space of sadness is filled with so much love and passion for everything this experience has given me. I am now on my way to being an outdoor educator in Utah and I couldn't be more grateful to everyone who has been with me along the way. I am so incredibly blessed to be pursing the life I truly want to live.
Slept at a rest stop, woke up at 4:30, hiked a vertical mile and a half in under an hour, picked up two bandaids, received one high five, fought one thorn bush for a dasani label, picked up infinite amounts of gum wrappers. Oh and ended up at Hanging Lake.
In a serendipitous chain of events, we've left our van in Seattle with new friends that feel like family. What a gift they've given us: the chance to come back out and continue our journeys. I packed a wetsuit, some sweaters and a book and kissed the rest goodbye. See you in a few weeks, van. Hope you enjoy Washington without us for a bit.
Thank you for all your birthday wishes! My day was a real blast: mountainbiking, cake with a view, pizza at the beach and swimming in the ocean! Now back in cold Germany with a cold but so many awesome memories of two weeks in Italy! More stories about it on the blog soon ✌🏻
