We took a super quick weekend trip to Fargo this weekend for our nephew's 1st Birthday (is there anything cuter?). It was the first roadtrip for our sweet Josie and while she was so super calm (especially for a 7 month old pup!) her tummy was not liking the car. After hour 3 of her not feeling well I finally pulled out my oils (duh, Rachel!). I grabbed my DigestZen Touch roller, rolled it on my fingers and gently massaged her stomach. I did this every hour and no more sick pup! 🎉🎉 We had a successful trip home too using the same method. So thankful for these oils!! #dogsofinstagram#dogmom#midwesttravel
Taking a walk around the Haymarket in Lincoln, @visit_nebraska and spotted Gallery Alley in the distance! I thought I knew this city and it surprised me, once again. I must have been too fixated on my Ivanna Cone dessert the last time I was there. Surely I would have noticed those bright lights otherwise.
So Nebraska comes out with the W this weekend and today I met a truck driver from Lincoln, NE that was making a delivery to the compound who gave me this and told me to get in touch with him for tickets next time I'm home during season since I've never been to a game. #Connections#Networking#NavyLife#NebraskaLife#GBR#Huskers
💛Kind of a rough day for me...although Autumn holds many lovely things, it's a DIFFICULT thing for me.
I REALLY do not enjoy the loss of summer, and this morning waking to very obvious Autumn weather...well, it messed with my heart a little more than I'd like to admit. *sigh*
😢🍂😭My attitude is my CHOICE...and so I am trying to welcome a newly descending Autumn with a spirit of gratefulness and being content...here's my overcomer's joy for today:
I love cooking, baking and canning with my Momma! The tomatoes were ready so we cooked up and canned yumm yumm yummy homemade marinara sauce! 💛🍂💛🍂💛🍂💛🍂💛🍂💛

Wooo! The fall is starting and the bass are getting fired up. This one chomped the @zmanfishingproducts chatterbait with a @berkleyfishing grass pig trailer. Felt good to get out and put a hook on ‘em!

Went to Lincoln for a quick getaway and I got to try new restaurants along with old favorites like @greengateau, Dish and @themillcoffeeandtea. I may have to hit the gym extra hard to make up for things but it was totally worth it.
Getting close to sunset at Kramper Lake near Hubbard, Neb. Kramper Lake has only been open since 2015. It is the result of a state of Nebraska effort at flood control. Pigeon Creek was dammed up to create the lake in what is known as the Danish Alps Recreation Area. My understanding is that early residents of the area thought the hills surrounding them reminded them of mountains back in their native Denmark. There are primitive and RV camping sites, boat ramp, fishing pier, playground, walking/biking path around the lake, and several horse camping sites and riding trails. Hubbard is about a mile from the lake, and Sioux City is around 15 miles. This was my first time visiting the lake and I came away impressed. The lake is named for Vince Kramper, a local retired farmer and active conservationist. He has served on state environmental and the regional conservation district boards. Plus he's a really nice fellow and is deserving of the honor of having a lake named for him. I got to know him when I was editor of the Dakota County Star in South Sioux City, Neb.
My best friend, brother, and favorite hunting partner @tylerbojohnson with a limit of big 'ol Nebraska honkers. Man I got goose fever bad! It's gonna be a good year!
