Had a good shoulder day the other day and a decent amount of rest felt work. I've been wanting to build up my rear delta for a while so going to be focusing on them more. What I did tonight because I couldn't make the gym were light post sprints. Each light post would be a sprint to a jog working up to a 100% all out sprint. The late night/early morning workouts are sometimes some of the most beneficial and relaxing workouts I do. Getting up early and working out or staying up late are both uncomfortable but it gives you that time by yourself to just think about things that are going on and gives you freedom to do other things that sometimes a gym doesn't allow. I always go by the more comfortable you are with being UNcomfortable the more you will succeed. Been a while since I posted something so figured I'd try to work my video editing skills ๐Ÿ˜‚ nowhere near even being good at it and probably took a lot longer than it should've but always gotta keep going forward. Did a lot of lower back stuff today because it has always been an issue for me. First exercise is band pull through did 3 sets of 10 then back extensions on thhe ball 3 sets of 15 and then finished with deadlift/row progressions starting from 1 and 1 and ending with 5 and 5. Today we worked on explosions off the chest, moving as heavy weight as possible, as fast as possible. Personally, my one rep strength far exceeds my endurance strength at heavy weight. This type of work helps to increase endurance, as well as one rep explosive strength ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป

Good powerlifting bench form consists of keeping your booty and rear delts tucked tight underneath your body. Bringing your hips as close to your shoulders as possible, thus ensuring a tight and tall arch. Keeping your feet flat will help with your driving power, and keeping your wrists straight with your elbows turned in will help you drive the weight to lockout with the shortest distance possible. Setting up to bench should be done the exact same from warm-up to max effort lifts.

The movement in this video is a slow negative down to my sticking point for a pause, followed by a chest pause and explosive finish. Relatively light bar weight at 265lbs.

Utilizing this movement under exhaustion will help you identify your weakest muscles in the bench. At the static pause, you should focus on identifying which muscles start to give first and at what point certain muscles activate. -----------------------------------------
By listening to your body in that way, not only will you become more in tune with your kinetics, you will be able to train your weakest bench muscles so that big PR will eventually move like a ๐Ÿš€ -----------------------------------------

๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป Heavy band resisted speed deadlifts (sumo & conv.), lunges, hyperflexion/extension movements with lumbar traction, and hamstring curls at @pitperformanceclub today. I also discovered that one of the main reasons that I am not making the gains that I want in the squat and deadlift is because of very poor hip mobility, and a tight (and sub sequent weak) posterior chain. So based on the advice from world squat record holder @jason_newlan, I did this band resisted PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) stretch to work on opening my hips and to stretch my legs, while my muscles were still contracted from the intense leg day. Every session at the Pit, I learn something new, and train hard. If you are a serious lifter, I would highly recommend hitting up @jason_newlan and checking out the Pit - Location: 1916 Millborne Road, Orrville, OH

Day 5/30 Core de Force Power Shred 
I finished Core de Force Power Sculpt around 11:30 last night. I went to bed around 1am. I was back at it this morning at 5:30am because I  am a goal digger!! (P.S Thanks for the tank Jessica!) I might look like a fish outta water, but I want to show people who are interested, but are nervous to try it, who aren't feeling confident, that we ALL look that way in the beginning when we're learning new moves!! This is to be expected! What matters is you keep moving!! Keep trying! Keep pushing through and don't give up!! There's no shame in my game! I'm new to this program and these moves, but I'm trying. You are training your body and your brain because you are also doing these moves on your non-dominant side also so you're getting a double workout! You have to think about what youre doing because it isn't second nature!
I can tell you that my moves aren't perfect, but I'm not aiming for perfect. I am working to better myself, to get healthy and strong. My moves will improve with repetition and exposure but really all that matters is I'm up everyday pushing play and doing it!! I'm working to be the best me I possibly can!! You CAN do this too!!! My energy fades as the week goes on, so I  switched up my split to accomodate #shredmode (diet/cardio) leading into june. Im testing out stacking my main heavy movements for the week on Mondays(comp style). Yesterdays lift-  Squats- #DynamicEffort w/ Chains 
Bench - 3x1@90% then a fatigue load 1board 
Deadlift - #MaxEffort 85% felt too easy so I jumped 660lbs to #PR / burn the kitchen down. Ended w/ some volume stiff legs for backdown afterwards.
