Hope you all had a happy Easter weekend! This week we're getting our #motivationmonday on with advice from founding father, Benjamin Franklin. He was an accomplished diplomat, inventor, and theorist to name a few, but did you know he was an invested gift giver? After his passing in 1790, the clever former president gave a gift of 2,000 pounds of silver to cities, Philadelphia and Boston. But there was a disclaimer to not use the money until later and split up the funds. After 100 years, a portion went to fund local businesses and 100 years after that, the cities could use the money how they saw fit. The money has been used to fund scholarships for students as well as to build the Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology in Boston and the @franklininstitute in Philadelphia, where this photo was taken!
