#MovieStill from #JohnHartman 's #ReelGroovyFilms#VHS production of the upcoming #indiefilm feature #TheShackling - (left) modestly talented mega-star VICTOR (played by Victor Escajadillo) displays his apparent super-powers of seduction during his big interview on The Rad-tastic Show hosted by Rad Tacular (played by me #mikeotoole ). This scene handles exposition of the character, highlighting his checkered #movie career and exploring his bizzaro past, including work as a spy years ago in the USSR, & getting his powers as a result of "getting shot 69 times... In my buttocks." With his super-stardom under scrutiny, in the wake of a spotty record of critical acclaim in the movie and fashion world, Rad asks the probing questions as Victor resorts to demonstrating his trademark probing dance movies: Fabric Feel & The Victor Trot. After Victor is shot on the #fashion runway, Rad is seen in a montage of many reporters attempting to crack the case, as Victor is trapped in a #surreal purgatory chasm, having to travel through an archway of TVs & confront the demons of fame, #fetish & #media saturation to find redemption. The Shackling is years in the making &, after resolving to move on from his decade+ career in #fringe#filmmaking , sees writer/director John Hartman feels like not only a return to form of what was great about earlier work, but a newfound sense of fun & exploration, as the scarcity of creating possibly the only VHS feature film currently (2015-2017) in production inspires a magnum opus cocktail of #counterculture , light comedy, dark visuals & music (including metal band #sorrowseed ), #alternative cast & colorful costumes (including TV-headed Victor), sexiness in skin & social commentary in mind, weirdo cameos from the likes of tooth-brush wielding, boot-hat clad US presidential candidate #VermineSupreme & more, cooked up in a #cultfavorite recipe for #midnightmovie madness!shot in #newengland & #denverco . http://reelgroovyfilms.com http://facebook.com/reelgroovyfilms http://YouTube.com/reelgroovyfilms Art imitates life, as you can hear 100 interviews done with this here gear on my real #podcast : http://experimentallyill.com #bts#punk#goth
If sometimes things are looking unreal just because of a different point of view, maybe the contrary is also to be considered. What is reality after all?
Made with concentrated light and a half sphere magnifying glass, nothing more 🙃
Was trying to find inspiration in the music I was listening to last night and I came across a song that reminded me of a bee buzzing. With that, the drum beat made me think of someone being kept and being beaten. And then this image came into my mind; the impact of the hands of those in our lives that try to pull us in all directions to try to fit us into a mold that we do not want. Even though they may not be the physical hands of people, our mind tends to latch onto them and make the next move based in what someone else wants for us
This must be where fantasy writers go to spin stories of sublime quixotic nature, transcending the metaphysical reality
Sitting in my room in the concrete jungle, I visited this place through photos.
Someday, maybe I will actually go there.
And, that will probably be the day civilisation sees the last of me.
