When Kerri and I created @thewellness.collective I was excited and ready to start something new. I had no doubt we would do an amazing job together- but that was the trick, I knew it had to be together. I can't lie, but she has years of experience doing this and I don't. Saying I felt intimidated and that confidence dropped (a lot) would just be right. But instead of worrying too much about it, I moved on and choose one skill that I know I'm good at "I learn fast" so I just told Keri "just let me know what I need to do and it will get done" .
Here we are, a day after our very first event - we sold out within days, we packed the house, we brought amazing brands we love, friends came to be part of the panel and we met the most amazing badass wellness community ✨ .
Was I scared we would fail? YES - was I scared Kerri will never work with me again? YES - was I scared to make a fool of myself as moderator? Definitely .
But I used that fear and doubt to empower myself ✨ i really hope you loved it and let us know what you'd like to see next!

not the greatest pic because i was in a rush to leave for class, but i've been loving to make overnight oats for my school morning breakfasts! i'm always in a rush because i can never wake up on time, so i love being able to just grab my breakfast, add a few things in, and eat it (at home or on the go, which is the perk of the mason jar)
to make this, i combined equal parts old-fashioned quaker oats and vanilla almond milk the night before. i added some cinnamon on top and then let it refridgerate overnight. in the morning i just threw some blueberries on top and headed out the door :-)
You all have your perfectly-arranged smoothie bowls, I'll take this delicious mess. Shredded Baked Potato with Spanish Tomato Sauce and Vegan Cheese, Two Beans with Onions and our own Peppers, and Romaine with our own Tomatoes. Beauty is not a priority for a post-workout meal!
Less than a month till I’m back in NYC and reunited with this smoothie bowl and @srgerard91 😻This morning’s workout was mostly body weight but was burn out based and I’m already sore! I get to teach yoga tonight for some beautiful souls, and I am LITERALLY freaking that in four days @ssotter_tiu and @ameliahoughtonkrug and I head to the #tiutourtampa 😱

People ask me how do I make my fruit bowls. There's no science or recipe needed. Just put your fave fruits in a bowl, with whatever toppings (my toppings are peanut butter and coconut chips with soy yogurt) and 💥BOOM💥 You got yourself a Bomb ass breakfast that will leave you very satisfied and full.

When my eyes were opened to the hell that is animal testing, I found it terrifying the sheer torture and often times agonising death animals go through testing our everyday products, from make up and toothpaste to hair spray and bleach with many of these products also containing animal derived ingredients. Please have a look at some videos online and ask yourself if you want to keep funding these barbaric practices or to start supporting the brands that don't.
Anyone of us brought face to face with any form of animal cruelty/ abuse would intervene in a heartbeat. Spinach is high in niacin and zinc, as well as protein, fiber, vitamins A, C, E and K, thiamin, vitamin B6, folate, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, copper, and manganese. .
Unlike other dark greens, it doesn't have a super bitter taste, so it's great in smoothies for those new to the green lifestyle.
Note, however, spinach is one of the "dirty dozen" so buy it organic if possible! 💚🌱
