Another beautiful poem, by another #wordartist @sylvestermcnutt Only one word I would change in it and that would be the girl into #wife I would change it because it has the power of God's Strength in it. To me, when people marry they form a triangle with God at the top point and each of them at one corner. Most people don't realize that they have entered into a sacred covenant with God when they marry, and they definitely don't know Him and that is why when they have #marriage#problems they don't seek His help. Some marriages can't help but fail and that is because one of the two has turned away from God and He isn't even a thought to them. That was the case in both my first marriages. I find great comfort in this verse. Romans 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Learning to lean on God takes #patience and great #faith !!!
And I don't see why that hurts.
I don't see how my self-sufficiency opposes romance. I romance myself. With the rain, uncalled, and the evening breeze. With the umbrella that shields, and shoes that bite- I don't need hickies. My neck is full- of questions unanswered, and answers I knew. I know my limits- none that stand. I know where to touch, my hands don't need direction. They're long, they're thick.
I know I'm alone, but the rain knows that too. And she falls, she lingers, she curves- behind car windows, and bedrooms and sheets, behind diary pages, pens and books.
